The Christmas season is a busy time for us all, including our community shop and café. We usually have peak sales during this time and the season is important to support our shop income. The shop has been stocked up to include Christmas fare, cards, and a wide choice of gifts to suit all the family. We are stockists of locally produced Forest Gin and Whisky and Winkle beers. You can order your Christmas supply of Spearing’s pies at the shop but please get your orders in early. Order forms will be available in the shop from 1st December. The shop has a good range of wines and prosecco plus plenty of stamps available for your Christmas posting. During December we will also have wreaths and Christmas floral decorations. For further details visit our new website www. Please support us and shop locally. From Monday, 6th December until Christmas Eve we are offering a free homemade mince pie with every hot drink purchased in the cafe. Why not take time out from your winter chores and Christmas preparation to enjoy a relaxing hot drink and complementary treat in the company of friends at our cafe. Last year, children in the village made and donated Christmas cards to the Hub for us to deliver to local elderly residents and/or people who live on their own. We plan to repeat this for Christmas 2021. Please put your homemade Christmas cards for distribution in the Hub’s colourful postbox. We will again be having a Christmas raffle for our volunteer social fund. These funds enable us to hold a social event once a year to recognise all our volunteers, without whom the Hub would not exist. If you are interested in volunteering in 2022 and would like to know more about the wide range of volunteer opportunities available, please email volunteering@ or call Daryl Williams on 07967 408865 We thank you for your support during 2021 and wish you all a happy and peaceful Christmas.
